New Coupler Adapter Kits for IHC Passenger Cars

Just released from Adair Shops! You can now convert your IHC passengers cars to use Kadee or McHenry couplers using our coupler adapter kits. Each kit includes the necessary adapter pieces and screws to convert one car, along with a complete set of instructions. You supply Kadee #5 couplers (or equivalent McHenry couplers) along with a set of Kadee #5 coupler boxes. At $3.98 per kit, you can convert your entire passenger train without breaking the bank. Kits can be ordered from Walthers, or directly from us.

HO Steel Beam Loads

Check out our new steel beam load kits. Available in either heavy structural sizes or wide beam sizes. These beams are made from our special lead alloy, and come primered in grey paint. Kits also include wood dunnage. Prices range from $16.99 per kit to $18.99 per kit (suggested retail price) depending on the beam size. These kits are available now from either Walthers or directly from us.

•	Effective immediately, the flat rate for shipping anywhere in the continental United States has increased to $10.50.
•	Due to poor sales, we will be dropping all N-scale weight upgrade kits, with the exception of the N-scale steel plate loads. This was not an easy decision for us, as we have invested hundreds of hours developing this product line. However, we can not continue to support and grow a product line for which there is little interest. We will continue to sell N-scale weight upgrade kits from our catalog on a special order basis. What are weight upgrade kits?
Adair Shops^TM is the home of thin weights for contemporary HO and On30 cars. Our weight upgrade kits are specifically designed to fit a wide variety of car kits and RTR cars from today's manufacturers such as Athearn*, Accurail*, Red Caboose*, Walthers*, and Roundhouse*, just to name a few. When assembled, your cars will meet or exceed recommended NMRA weight requirements. In addition, the weight segments will, in most cases, not show... not even in open cars. Some of our kits even allow for full interiors and lighting.

Each kit is composed of custom manufactured metal weight segments along with detailed instructions and an assembly layout. The weight segments are machined to size and ready to install.

Our specially formulated glue bonds the weight segments to the car kit's body or frame without attacking the plastic. If you make a mistake, simply remove the weight segment with a dental type instrument. Each shipment includes enough glue to assemble the kits in the order.

As for painting, our weight segments will accept both lacquer and water based paints, although water based paints are recommended.

We also have an expanding line of weight upgrade kits available for Ready-To-Run cars. This includes a large assortment of custom made slope sheets for hopper cars.
