Weight Upgrade Kit for the Athearn N Scale Bombardier Commuter Coach / Cab Car
If you ever have a chance to ride in one of these Bombardier commuter cars, it is worth the price
of a ticket. With their air ride suspension, the ride is smooth, even at speed. Our webmaster use
to be a conductor for Caltrain in San Francisco, and has logged many miles in these cars.
We've taken the N scale Athearn version of this car, and added an additional 1.1 ounces of weight
to improve performance when in "push mode". As you can see from the insert photo, most of the weight
segments are either hidden in the ends, or are mostly hidden on the floors.
Installation is straight forward, with simply removing the carbody, and gluing the weight
segments in place using our easy to follow instructions. Once the glue has dried, simply
snap the carbody back onto the frame, and you are ready to roll. So give your N scale Bombardier
commuter fleet a performance boost today by installing these weight upgrade kits.
